    Dare Enfold Team,

    We are in need of a side-bar drop down menu for the very many categories our client has in their “blog”

    Is this possible?
    If so….how?

    or is there a reliable plug-in for this?

    Hey DaraEmerson,

    You can select to show as dropdown in the default WordPress Categories widget, please try that out.

    how to define which ones can be shown?
    is there some documentation on this? I have searched and searched

    what I was more interested in though was having
    a list of main categories and
    subcategories seen when one “clicks” on the category.

    do you understand?

    If we add a simple widget menu it is great
    EXCEPT that the list becomes VERY long

    Hi Dara,

    That widget is default in WordPress and it’s nothing we provide support for unfortunately. You should be able to get help on wordpress.org if you want to customise it though. Or maybe you could try finding a plugin which will help you out?
