    Hello,

I am having trouble with the WooCommerce product categories banner. By default they are showing the Enfold ‘Welcome! This is a new shop banner’ image across the top which i need to change, but whenever i go to the products>Categories tab and give the category an image they dont display correctly. They are cropped top and bottom and are very short, and they are not full width. I also cant get the menu to be transparent and frosted to match all the other pages.

Is there a way to edit the banner dimensions on these category pages, or if all else fails change the default banner? I can’t find anything in either the Enfold settings or WooCommerce settings. I also need to make the menu frosted.
Let me know if you need screenshots.

    Thanks.

    Hey S-edwards,

Could you post a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please? Screenshots might help us understand better, you can upload to google drive or dropbox for instance and then link to them here.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hello thanks for your reply,

I have added the links to private and switched off the under construction plugin.

One screenshot for the category page with the standard ‘Welcome’ banner,
One screenshot for the page with a custom image (is cropped and messy looking)
One screenshot for what we want it to look like with the frosted menu over the top of the banner.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

Can you please post a link to your page where banner is cropped?

Alternatively, you can try creating a page using Advanced Layout Builder and choose to dislay your items using Product Grid element or WooCommerce shortcodes. That way you could edit your page and display glassy transparent header as well

    Hello,

See below for a link to one of the problem pages. Unfortunately they are all automatically generated product category pages that show up in the breadcrumbs, so there’s no way of hiding them.

here’s a screenshot of how i found the page.

    Hi,

so you want to change image sizes, right? Try the following:
    1. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
    2. Go to Settings > Media
    3. Change the image size you need to change (increase its width / height).
    4. Regenerate the thumbnails by clicking the button at the bottom.

    Best regards,
    Andy

hi, you’re not really understanding my problem here… I have 3 main problems,

    1. When I click on the category breadcrumbs on a product page they take me to a category page and I am having difficulty styling the header/banner image of this category page to match with the rest of the site
    2. I get a big white area above the image
    3. I cannot get the glassy effect on the top navigation like the other pages.

I’ve tried the plugin you’ve suggested above but it didn’t seem to solve the problem.

3 images to explain this are in Drop box.

    Hi,

we need admin access to be able to access the link you’ve provided.

Category page are not controlled by the theme, but by WordPress itself. So if you want to customize category page refer to:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Category_Templates
    https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/enhanced-category-pages/
    http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-create-category-templates-in-wordpress/

Hope this makes things clearer for you :)

    Best regards,

    Hi All

I have same issue with S-edwards.
Would it possible to hide or remove the woocommerce Category page banner block?

    Thank you!
