Hi
The site I’m working on is:
In the Enfold Theme Options>Demo Import, I have imported the: Shop Demo
I have also installed the ShiftNav from SevenSpark (http://sevenspark.com/docs/shiftnav)
I’m curious to learn about how to have ShiftNav be the main menu in the Shop Demo that has been imported.
When I “click “Customize” in the WordPress toolbar at the top of the page, the options to customize the ShiftNav appear.
When I click “ShiftNav – Toggle Bar” > “Configuration” and check the “Display Toggle Bar” box, I then click “Save and Publish”
It says “Saved”
Then when I click on the “X” to close out the customizing, the ShiftNav menu is NOT “Saved”?
How can we fix this, so that ShiftNav is the primary menu in the Enfold Shop demo?
Thank you.

I am afraid you’ll need to contact the plugin author for more info about the issue. Making third-party plugins compatible with the theme is unfortunately beyond the support scope we offer. Sorry for that!
However if you take a look at the shiftNav docs it has some info related to your question :)
Best regards,
VinayJanuary 14, 2017 at 4:34 pm #733576I read
“Enfold’s menu styles will break UberMenu due to residual styling. To eliminate this residual styling, a change needs to be made in the helper-main-menu.php file to replace the theme’s menu with UberMenu. Then we’ll set up some configuration settings as well as add a few special styles.”
Where do I find the “helper-main-menu.php file”?
thank you
January 14, 2017 at 4:49 pm #733578Next I read
“First we will replace the theme’s menu to prevent residual styling. Start by copying includes/helper-main-menu.php into a child theme (the path will be enfold-child/includes/helper-main-menu.php). Always make your changes in a child theme to preserve them when the parent theme is updated.”
I then watched this video:
And I feel confused and overwhelmed about where to start and need support please.
Do I really need to do all these steps for the ShiftNav to work on the Enfold theme?
January 14, 2017 at 5:28 pm #733586Does this advice
(http://sevenspark.com/docs/ubermenu-3/theme-integration/enfold)Apply to the ShiftNav menu too? Because that is the one I am wanting to use, not “Uber Menu”
January 14, 2017 at 5:47 pm #733590Because when I go to the ShiftNav documentation
(http://sevenspark.com/docs/shiftnav/customize)There is no “Theme Integration” Tab in the documentation page to select.
So does that mean I don’t have to create a child theme, or that I still need to follow these steps:
Even though I am not using Uber Menu and am using ShiftNav instead?Thank you
January 14, 2017 at 7:11 pm #733617Hi,
Please create a child menu as it will help you save all modification in one place and update the main theme in the theme folder :)
Best regards,
VinayMarch 19, 2017 at 12:38 pm #763180Hi,
I am interested in using ShiftNav too and I am already using a child theme. Any instructions further? Do we follow Ubermenu’s instructions?March 19, 2017 at 4:22 pm #763226Hey!
Best is to contact the plugin developers, to ask any questions.
Shiftnav is replacing the main WordPress theme, so it should be working fine with Enfold, with no issues at all.Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.
Cheers!
