    i tried a few more times. every time i move from staging to live EVERYTHING is messed up. all the media queries stop working and you see double of everything.

    You are doing something wrong with the transfer, I am sorry but we can not know what tat is.
    You will have to hire someone who can help you with that, to transfer your web sites.
