    To Whom It May Concern,

    Happy New Year! I have searched the site for directions about where to upload (via SFTP) the latest version of LayerSlider 6.10. Should I upload LayerSlider directly into wp-content > themes > enfold or into wp-content > plugins? I tried uploading LayerSlider into wp-content > themes and my frontage was a disaster. So, it would appear that wp-content > plugins is the correct answer. But I would like to have your opinion. Thank you — John

    Thank you for contacting us and happy new year!

    Please firstly refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/deactivate-the-layerslider-plugin/ and deactivate builtin Layer Slider and then install yours as a standalone plugin in Plugins > Add New :)

    One last question. Is there a disadvantage to deactivating the LayerSlider plugin? What are the pros and cons? The reason that I am asking is that ENFOLD had an issue with the plugin recently. Thank you for the feedback.

    Hi!

    Our devs are making sure that there is no compatibility issues between Enfold and LayerSlider. I am not 100% sure if that would be the case but might be on standalone version. However since our devs and LayerSlider team are in touch, they would probably know about the issues if there are any. If that happens to be the case, please feel free to contact LayerSlider support team :)
