Hi, I’ve been having frequent site crashes recently. Together with my hosting provider we’ve been looking into the cause. Apparently, there are multiple issues caused by Enfold that take so long that there are time-outs. I’ll paste them private below, but hopefully you’re able to figure out what’s the reason for this?
FYI, I always update the theme directly through FTP, because I make several changes to some files and want to prevent a gap in between an updated theme and having modified the files.

There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

Thanks for the feedback! I usually update files and then upload to overwrite the existing folder on the FTP. Now I have deleted the entire Enfold folder from the FTP and added it again like fresh, as you suggested.
Hopefully this does makes the difference, because the site has been going down so often during the last 2 weeks and I’ve tried lots of things, so I’m running out of ideas. :)
I’ll keep an eye on the status and check the logs tomorrow to see if the slow errors are taken care of.

RikardDecember 21, 2016 at 11:09 am #726968As I said yesterday, I had completely removed the Enfold folder on the FTP, then reuploaded it.
Just now, the site gives a 504 Gateway Time-out, nginx again. Management is really starting to be impatient with the whole situation. I’m running out of ideas here. Is anyone of you able to take a look at it please?
I’ve just exported the slow errors log again and you’ll see some of the results below.

The live site is sooooo slow and unresponsive and crashing atm. It keeps getting worse! :'(

this all sounds like a problem with your server. Please contact your host about it. Also check with another WP theme, if you have similar results or not and let us know about them here. Have in mind that Enfold needs at least 256 MB of php memory limit.
