I know there are topics related to this, but I’ve tried the suggestions and I’m not getting anywhere. I’ve Deleted my .htaccess and changed back to “Plain” and then back to “Custom” with the /%pagename%/ tag…. even with any of the suggested permalink tags, none of them except for the default “Plain” option is working. I also tried a plugin to let me customized the permalink and it didn’t work.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
November 19, 2016 at 8:34 am #714310Hey SproutMG,
Resetting your permalinks should help in most cases but maybe there’s something else going on with your installation, please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

November 20, 2016 at 8:16 am #714422Hi,
Thanks for the login details, I can’t see anything obviously wrong on your installation though. Could you try deactivating all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict please?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 20, 2016 at 2:52 pm #714508I deactivated all plugins and tried the custom permalinks again. They’re all still in the deactivated state if you want to look around again. Also, the permalinks are currently changed to the /%pagename%/ so you can see what’s happening.
After disabling all plugins, I changed the permalinks to custom, back to plain, then back to custom, to make sure it wasn’t an update issue.
Going through your archived forums, it seems as though the 404 error after switching permalink structure is a common occurrence with the Enfold theme……
November 22, 2016 at 5:38 pm #715454Hi,
simply try to flush your permalinks by going to Settings->Permalinks->”Save Changes”

AndyNovember 22, 2016 at 5:40 pm #715455Hey!
Can you give us ftp access? so we can inspect further. Also allow us to deactivate any/all plugins if necessary.
UPDATE: Seems like it’s a permission issue, if you check on Settings > Permalinks at the bottom you would see this:
If your .htaccess file were writable, we could do this automatically, but it isn’t so these are the mod_rewrite rules you should have in your .htaccess file. Click in the field and press CTRL + a to select all. Try setting .htaccess file to 755 (if it doesn’t work try 777). If still not working then kindly give us ftp access. :)Regards,

November 22, 2016 at 6:03 pm #715476Below is the login info to FTP. Nikko, you have my permission to disable plugins or whatever you need to do to resolve the issue. Thanks!
November 22, 2016 at 6:29 pm #715491Hey!
Thanks for giving permission, I tried the ftp details and it does work however it seems to give access on the wrong files & folders. I get the following folders:
- logs
- revslider
- SproutMarketingGroup
I checked through the folders and I can’t find Enfold instead other themes are showing up, I’m sure it’s the wrong directory, please check.

Thanks for providing the ftp details you can now remove it or change password. It should be fixed now, I have set your permalinks to Post Name and it’s working fine now, let us know if it’s good on your end also :)
Cheers!
