    Hi,
we’ve updated the WordPress theme of our customer to Enfold 3.7.1 a few weeks ago.
On his page we used the Lightbox function to open PDFs in a Lightbox with …pdf?iframe=true
Our customer has wrote us, that the PDFs doesn’t open in a Lightbox anymore.

The version of the Enfold theme before the update was 2.8.1.
We’ve seen, that there was a change of the lightbox library from PrettyPhoto to Maginfic-Popup.

Isn’t it possible to open the lightbox with ?iframe=true or must we change something that it will work again?

    Hey wigital-ee,

Sorry for the late reply, I’m not sure what’s going on there but it seems like it opens in a lightbox first, but then the default browser behaviour takes over and ‘claims’ the whole window. That is the way it looked like to me in Chrome at least. What browser are you using?

Please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look. You mentioned that you are running 3.7.1, latest version of the theme is currently 3.8 so you might want to try to update to that as well. http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

Hi, I’ve tested it in Chrome and Firefox, both browsers opens a new window.

I’ve posted the admin login details in private.

    Kind regards

    Hi,

It is working in my installation. Please update the theme to the latest version, 3.8.1. After the update, please visit the test page.

    Hi,

I’ve updated the theme & WordPress to the latest version.
But the lightbox still not works correctly on Firefox and Chrome.
I can see that the lightbox opens, but the PDF opens completly in the same tab.

You can find the login data and page URL in the private content, I moved a copy of the live page to a subdomain for testing.
Your testpage, which you have posted above this reply is still present at the subdomain.

What can I do now to solve the problem?

    Hi,

I’m not sure how you managed to make it work before and why it is working on our local installation but this is what the lighbox plugin author said about pdf files.

I don’t recommend to open PDF in iframe inline, it won’t work in many browsers. Either open it in a new tab directly, or use libs like PDF.js.
