A few questions with regards to the Post Grid.
1. When using the Post Grid, the date shown below the post appears to be the last post’s last updated date(see A in Private Content). However, in other places, such as the homepage, the post shows the original post date. For the sermons, I would think that the original post date would be used instead, so that the user can locate a sermon for a certain date instead of the last updated date.
2. When viewing pages on the post grid past on pages 3 and further (see B in Private Content), the date does not always show on the posts. With sermons, this is an important piece of the metadata. What determines if the date shows ?3. What file can be edited to move the date closer to the post title?
Thanks for your help.
October 27, 2016 at 1:44 am #704624I have installed the church demo, and see that in the demo, that the dates appear to match the original post date, and the layout shows the date near the title. I’ve compared the Grid Posts settings on the demo and my own installation, but cannot see any differences. Thanks again.
October 30, 2016 at 5:09 am #705746Hey!
Thank you for using Enfold.
1.) The theme is using the get_the_time function which displays the date when the posts was published. Are you sure that it is displaying the date of modification? It is not possible because you have to use the the_modified_date function to display the date the posts was last modified.
2.) The post meta info will display if a custom excerpt is specified.
3.) The date is actually below another container, the excerpt container. If you want to move it closer to the title, you have to remove the excerpt. When I say “remove”, I mean remove the container using css.
Best regards,

Here is a screenshot showing the dates for the posts: http://screencast.com/t/wzkF0rv8CASgNot sure if you saw my second post above, but it may provide a clue in what is wrong.

Even if it is not a clue, I’m still curious in why the two styles for the page. I would prefer the page to be setup as in your demo so that the date appears at the top of the excerpt.

November 4, 2016 at 9:49 pm #708440I have the differing layout issue resolved.
I discovered that the Blog Setup style within the Theme Settings was set to Elegant style instead of Business style, as shown in the demo. After changing it to Business Style, the date issue also fixed itself so that it shows the actual post date instead of the last updated date. No explanation, but the issue is resolved. Thanks.
