Hi,
since the older topic has been closed – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/theme-update-to-version-3-8-error/ – I’m following up with a new one. I’ve purchased a new license of Enfold on ThemeForest, but I can’t find a way to update the theme anyway. I’ve generated a new Themeforest API key, but I’m not allowed the theme anyway. Please help.
Thanks,
MilanOctober 26, 2016 at 1:46 pm #704275Hey Milan!
Please try updating the theme via FTP – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Cheers!
YigitOctober 26, 2016 at 2:23 pm #704306Will I have to keep updating the theme via FTP every time? It’s not very convenient. I’d rather purchase the theme with a different account if you could refund me (if there isn’t another way)
October 26, 2016 at 2:31 pm #704313Hi,
You should update the theme via FTP just this once. Then auto updater should work fine.
Please try this plugin to clear WordPress transients if you do not receive auto updates and make sure your API key is correct: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.
If it does not help, I am afraid you might need to update the theme manually – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Unfortunately not all Server environments are able to make use of the auto update feature provided by ThemeForest :/
Best regards,
YigitOctober 26, 2016 at 2:37 pm #704318I was able to auto update the theme before. The issue appeared when I copied the website to a local Australian domain and there were two different domains for one license key. So I purchased another license, generated a new API key and updated it.
October 26, 2016 at 2:41 pm #704321The issue is with downloading the theme from AWS, not with updating the theme on the server.
October 26, 2016 at 2:41 pm #704322Hey!
Great! Glad you figured it out! Let us know if you have any other questions or issues :)
Cheers!
YigitOctober 26, 2016 at 3:07 pm #704335I didn’t figure it out. This has been the issue from the very beginning. The update has started, but the download from Amazon wasn’t allowed. Check this topic – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/theme-update-to-version-3-8-error/ – to see the error message (it’s private for moderators)
October 26, 2016 at 3:20 pm #704344Hey!
That is usually a temporary hiccup that should be fixed once when you update the theme manually. If you would like us to update the theme for you, please post FTP logins and WP admin logins here privately.

YigitOctober 26, 2016 at 4:51 pm #704421I’ll have my team help me with it and reach out if it didn’t help. Pls don’t close the topic for now. I’ll let you know how it went.
Thanks
