    Hi guys,

I working with the WP GPX Map plugin on my travel blog. I want to use it to upload GPX Maps from my TomTom Navigation Device.

The first map I want to display showed just fine a few weeks ago, but now shows an error message “Oops something went wrong. The page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.

I know you’re probably going to say now that you can’t support third-party plugins and this is fully understandable. However, if you refresh the page with the map in the viewport, you will see that the map displays fine for a few seconds, just before the error message comes on.

I remember that I had the exact same problem with the built-in Google Maps Media Element in the Avia Layout Builder of the Enfold Theme a while back.

Hence, I’m thinking that this may have something to do with your theme or the settings I use.

I would really appreciate it, if you could take a look at this. I would really hate loosing this plugin and ditching the idea of displaying interactive Google Maps on my site.

Thanks a bunch, guys. You’re really great.

    Hi MadRhino,

Did you register a Google Maps API key and did you add it to the backend? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/. If that doesn’t work then please post admin login details in private.

    Regards,
    Rikard

Thanks for getting back to me, Rikard,

I registered a Google API key following the instructions provided in the Enfold documentation and registered it in the Google services section of your theme.

Unfortunately this doesn’t make a difference. The map shows for a few seconds and then, then error message appears again. Would you mind taking a look?

Please see you login details below.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. I still see the no Google Maps API key error in the console though. I’m not sure what else to do except to contact the plugin author, could you try to see if they have a solution for you maybe?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
