    Hi,
    I am using the Google Fonts Plugin to create some custom font work. The site itself seems to be responsive and adjusts to different monitors, but what sticks out is that the custom google fonts do not shrink to fit other screens and just overlap other fonts or images, or move to a different line and do not adjust to fit the rest of the site.. It is fine on my 23 inch screen, of course, but starts going wonky on 17in and lower.

    I don’t know code, but is there anything I can check off, quick CSS or apply in theme options to correct this issue?

    Thank you,
    Becky

    Hi drlocke,

    Is it this text you are referring to?

    If so, how would you like it to look instead?

    Best regards,

    Hi Rikard,

    No, that is not the text that is causing issues. I have already had to adjust those words to fit different screens, even if I did not want to. It is the text that overlays the color banner on 2 pages. On the Home page, it was all the text on the call to action banner that all had to be sized down, or it would separate into 2 lines, or run off the blue banner, which it should not do, because that is a contained section.

    The google font text will not resize, however, on any page. I have just had to downsize the text to fit the smaller screens, rather than use what I really wanted. I don’t think that should have to be done. I would think that if I wanted to use a 20 point font size, that I should be able to without it running off the page, or not being visible on smaller screens because it is hidden.

    Another example: on the Commercial page, the word “Commercial” is hidden on the right. On a smaller screen (15 inches), part of the word is hidden because it did not resize with the image. I will leave it that way until you respond, and then I will have to move it over to the left further than I wanted to, in order for it to be viewed on other screens.
    Is there something I have not checked off to have the Google Font plugin adjust to the screen’s responsiveness?

    Thanks,
    Becky

    Hey!

    That is because font size is very big (74px). Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab

    .comm-header {
        font-size: 34px;
    }

    Cheers!

    Yes, in that instance it was large. I easily moved it down, and that’s fine. But what about how the other fonts I mentioned do not adjust with the screen size? They will hide because the image is not adjusting, or they will double up and text-wrap instead of adjusting.

    Are there theme adjustments I can make to have Google fonts be responsive, instead of always resizing them?

    Hey!

    Would you consider adding additional Google fonts to Enfold theme options instead of using a plugin? If you would, please see – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/register-additional-google-fonts-for-theme-options/. If you need assistance, please let us know!

    Cheers!

    Hi Yigit,
    I can add additional Google fonts but that won’t give me the huge flexibility and customization that the plugin gives me. WordPress and your theme by itself (as great as it is) does not allow what I need. I will keep the plugin.

    Is there anything that you know of to have the Google fonts be responsive with the images on smaller screens?

    Thanks for all of your continued support,
    Becky

    Hi!

    Aside from the font plugin, looks like you’re using another grid plugin (ex. in the commercial page). The grid plugin is not fully configured in the theme which is why it’s not responsive. Why do you need this plugin? You can just use grid row element instead.

    Hi Ismael,

    What are you calling a grid plugin? These are the plugins that I know are part of that page:
    1. Page Builder by SiteOrigins
    2. SiteOrigins Widget Bundle
    3. Black Studio TinyMCE Widget

    Plus what I believe to be other non related plugins like Spacer. I was told the above 3 all work together. Is one of the listed plugins the grid plugin you were talking about? They are on every page. I only had issues with the fonts not being responsive. The biggest problem is with the fonts not remaining contained within a column. They run out of it, and into other elements, instead of shrinking with the monitor size.

    If one of these plugins is causing it not to respond, I don’t know what you mean by using a grid row element instead. I think that I am using a grid row element as part of Page Builder. So, I would not know what to delete that was being non-responsive.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

    I’m referring to plugin number 1. Why do you need a page builder plugin? The theme has its own page builder.

    Hi Ismael,

    In some ways, the page builder from SiteOrigin has more features and I like it better. It is more customizable for someone like me who does not use code. Is there a way to configure it into the theme?

    Thanks,
    Becky

    Hi,

    Yes, that is possible but, unfortunately, it will require modifications that are outside the scope of support. Please consider hiring a freelance developer or contact our partner, codeable.
