October 12, 2016 at 4:27 pm #698391Hey acampher,
Can you please try re-updating the theme manually via FTP and overwrite all files – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/?
Best regards,
YigitOctober 12, 2016 at 6:05 pm #698448Thank you Yigit, I just want to confirm by doing the above mentioned, will I lose any changes or my website at all?
October 12, 2016 at 7:36 pm #698490Hey!
You are not using a child theme. If you have made any changes on theme files, they will be overwritten. If you have not, you can go ahead and update the theme and your changes will not be lost.
Best regards,
YigitOctober 12, 2016 at 8:56 pm #698524I have not made use of the child theme, so I can’t manually update the theme because I will lose all my changes.
Any other way of fixing this issue of adding new blog post and getting an error?
October 14, 2016 at 6:56 am #698982Any feedback on an alternative method to fix the problem?
Anyone?
October 14, 2016 at 8:30 am #699011I still need help with this.
I cannot rebuild the site because I did not use the child theme. Is there a fix to this error. Please help.

October 16, 2016 at 11:59 am #699543Hi,
Could you post WordPress admin login details so that we can have a closer look please? If you have made changes to any of the theme files they will be overwritten, if you only have made settings to the theme they will be safe, but you might want to backup your site just in case anyway.
Thanks,
RikardOctober 16, 2016 at 12:22 pm #699559Hi Rikard, here with the admin logins in the private content section.
Thanks for looking into this.
October 17, 2016 at 8:55 am #699828Hi,
Thanks for that though I can’t get your site to load on my end. So have you made any changes to the theme files? If not it’s safe to go ahead and update.
Regards,

October 18, 2016 at 8:11 am #700434Hi,
Ok, thanks for the feedback. Do you know what changes you have made and where? If so I would recommend you to move them to a child theme, it will solve your current problem and it will keep your changes safe on future updates as well.
Best regards,
RikardOctober 18, 2016 at 9:55 am #700522Hi,
The only place where I am receiving an error is in the blog (Latest News)… When I add a new blog post, I receive the error.
How would I go about moving to a child theme? I don’t want to redo the whole site.
October 19, 2016 at 8:02 am #701041Hi,
You shouldn’t have to do that, all you need to do is to move the changes you have made into a child theme. Please refer to this for creating one: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/create-a-child-theme/
Best regards,
