    Hi,

when I use the Avia Layout Editor an put a Image and Text box in my post it will not display in the Blog Post overview. On the single page of this post everything is fine and I can see the content. Only when I use the regular WordPress editor I will see the content in the Blog list.

    no ideas?

    Hi,

When using the layout builder for posts it will act like a page instead of a post, you will have to add everything manually to the post. You could also try saving the post while the default editor is active, that should bring in the “default” items automatically.

    Thanks,

so that means that the layout builder with its nice functions are useless when I use it with a Blog. Because I want to habe the pictures and text that I write in the Post to see in the last Post view like right now but also want the layout options from the layout builder.

OK I find a workaround but thats not practical. I have to publish my post with the layout builder and after that go back in the post to edit. There I open the post revision option to see all the post revisions and there I can find the syntax of the post.

If I post this in the default editor and update the post I will the layout end effects from the layout editor in the Blog view

    This looks like thats:

    [av_textblock size='' font_color='' color='']

    [/av_textblock]

It would be easier if we had an option like in the default editor to view the code to copy in the default editor.

    Hi Alex,

I’m not 100% I understand exactly what you mean by your last post but simply switching to the default editor once you are ready to save should bring up the items you are looking to add to the page. The builder for posts is designed for users who want full control over their posts, but this is a way around it.

what I mean is, if I use the avia builder and switch back to default the post data is empty. I see no code in the default editor. To get the layout from the builder not only on the single page but also on the standard blog view I have to have the syntax like in the in my previous reply to put in the default editor of wordpress.

But the code is only visible if I use the post revision feature to restore older versions of the post.

    This is a dirty workaround.

    Hi,

Sorry but it’s not clear what exactly are you trying to do? If you switch to default editor from ALB it will show you shortcode for the ALB elements.

You can aslo activate he debug mode to view the shortcode http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/

    Hi Vinay,

on my installation WordPress 4.6.1 it will not show the shortcode when I switch from ALB to default, thats exactly the point.

    Hi,

A plugin conflict may be one of the reason for this issue.
To find which plugin is causing the conflict please follow these steps:

    1. Go to your plugins page > Deactivate all active Plugins
    2. Update WordPress and Enfold to latest version if you have not.
    3. Make sure all the plugins are updated.
    4. If the problem does not persist when plugins are turned off, activate one plugin at a time and refresh until you find the plugin in conflict.

We await the results of your plugin compatibility test.

    Thanks for your cooperation :)

    Best regards,
    Vinay

I tried with all plugins disabled, but the problem is the same. If I use the ALB and switch to default I see no shortcode. I found now the “insert theme shortcode” button in the default editor and will use this one instead of the ALB.

    thanks

    Hi Alex,

Yes, that is one way of working as well. Let us know if you should need any further help on the topic.

    Best regards,
