    Hello,
I updated the Enfold theme to version 3.7.1
I use a child theme. After the update google fonts don’t display. If I choose another font (styling extra, available fonts) nothing happens. The website doesn’t look nice now.
I use nine Enfold themes for nine websites, so I’m afraid to do any other update.

    Hey Marcel!

I tried changing heading fonts and they looked fine on my end. Please see screenshot below.
How exactly do they look on your end?

    Regards,
    Yigit

That’s strange, my heading is as the example shows and the quote after the heading should be in orange, as defined in the styling settings….

Sorry, I took a different part, here the same you showed me

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, not sure if you got it working the way you want it to though?

    Best regards,

I really don’t know what the problem is.
I’ll give you 2 more examples. Example 3: the blue bar doesn’t show text, the text is h5 and defined as white at ‘styling extra’.
When I choose another font nothing happens. The text in the orange bar should be two columns lined left. It looks like a stair now.
Example 4: the header h2 and h1 are defined as Roboto Condensed. They don’t look like. The quote should have an orange line and text in blue. They don’t show like that.
Making any differences in ‘styling extra’ does not make any change in what I see on my screen.
It seems that any change of fonts does not have any result.

To show me more of my problem:
I have placed a back-up file of the website on an other URL. This is a back-up from January 2016 and it has Enfold theme version 3.1.3.
All fonts are shown right on this URL. I hope you see the difference with the original site at this moment.
Please let me know. Then I can start an update with the back-up and see the same problems will occur.

    Hi,

you just need to change text color inside your color section, because color section and text color had the same color (blue). I changed text color to white and now it’s working as expected. Can you confirm please?

    Best regards,
    Andy

It’s not working well. If you change the color inside the color section it becomes white, but the line-height is wrong so that shows that there is a problem with the font that is H5 and should be white by choosing white for H5 in the ‘styling extra’-section.

Meanwhile I have updated the Enfold Theme with the update I received yesterday, the version 3.8

I updated the back-up of the website I placed temporarily on another URL as written before. THE SAME PROBLEMS HAPPENED!!. There is a great problem with the fonts.

NOTE: during the update on the back-up I saw a line that there was something wrong with a css file that should be improved.

I send a picture of the situation before and after update, on the home-page and a text page.

    Hi,

I don’t get what you mean. You simply need to adjust text color inside your color section. Nothing more.

    Best regards,
    Andy

This is just one place that shows that things goes wrong with fonts after the update. The text will become white, but the distance between the lines is not correct and this shows that it goes wrong with the fonts. The example you can see (message before) shows that there are problems with the fonts on many locations.
The fact is that after the update the complete section ‘styling extra’ of the Enfold Theme give no reaction if you choose another font or color. Everything stays the same and looks wrong, see the difference between ‘before’ and ‘after’ update.

    Hi,

about which update are you talking about? cause actually you’re using an old version of the theme. Please update to Enfold v3.8. Hopefully things get better for you with it.

    Best regards,
    Andy

My problems started after updating to version 3.7.1, see the first message about this problem.
Yesterday I updated the back-up placed temporarily on another URL. At that moment version 3.8 was available, so it was updated to 3.8
The same problems came: the section ‘styling extra’ of the Enfold Theme doesn’t work. Fonts are displayed wrong and any change in ‘styling extra’ doesn’t give a change. Whatever the font I choose, the fonts that are being displayed stay the same.
For examples see the links I’ve send yesterday.

I will place the back-up on the original URL (it has Enfold version 3.1.3) and make no longer updates till I find out that things are not going wrong anymore.

    Hi,

The quick css code is added to the dynamic stylesheet located in wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/enfold.css. Try to delete the entire dynamic_avia folder and re-save the theme options.

The theme writes all of the styling data to a new file that gets added to your uploads folder. If your server automatically makes the file non writable it can cause issue.

So first thing to try is to browse to your wordpress wp-content>uploads>dynamic_avia folder either with FTP or your servers file browser and change the chmod permissions on it to 755 for the folder and its contents. See http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions

    Best regards,
    Andy
