I have a video link in the section background of a color layout section. This video is 13 seconds long and 4.7 MB and resides on my server and plays well on desktop . On mobile devices/IPhone 6,the video does not play
September 4, 2016 at 8:58 am #681763Hi hingex,
Video auto play is disabled on mobile devices due to manufacturer restrictions, please use the fallback image instead or use a Video element to show videos for mobile devices.

RikardSeptember 9, 2016 at 12:30 am #683934Rikard, Please explain how to apply these choices you offered :
1. “Please use the fallback image instead” – Where do I place this fallback image ?
2. Use a Video element to show videos for mobile devices – How do I do thisThank you.

1. See this: http://i.imgur.com/n529gwV.png
If you insert a background image then this will be used as a fallback image.2. In your ALB go to Media Elements and choose “Video” Element.

AndySeptember 13, 2016 at 10:35 pm #686058I am on Enfold 3.8
Per my comments from September 3rd when I created this, I am using the color section and adding video background so this solution in the first place is disregarding the context of my question,
Secondly, the video element retrieved from ALB does not have the check box to hide the video on mobile.
September 14, 2016 at 12:30 pm #686311Hi,
1. Autoplay for videos do not work on mobile due to restrictions by vendors of those devices. That’s why you can use a fallback image instead.
2. Simply use a Layout Element and insert a Video Element inside of it.

AndySeptember 16, 2016 at 5:10 am #687199Andy, I know that as it has been made clear. “Please use the fallback image instead” – Where do I place this fallback image ? — This is unclear.
The key question here is, given that videos do not work on mobile, where and how do I place a fallback image such that when on a mobile device the background is not left at the mercy of the background color or not empty ??
September 16, 2016 at 12:14 pm #687432Hi,
I already showed to you where to use a fallback image by my last screenshot. Here again: http://imgur.com/n529gwV. Simply insert an image for “Custom Background Image” and it will get used as fallback image. Hope this makes things clear for you.
Best regards,
