I can’t make any changes to the pages on my site.

It was working fine like two days ago, and then all of a sudden…this happened.

    I’ve re-installed the theme, deactivated plugins, but it’s a pretty bare-bones site.

I would’ve attached a screenshot but it wasn’t working either, go figure :/

I’ve attached my admin login info…

    Thank you for your assistance!

    Hey dmont23,

Defining a higher memory limit in wordpress and if possible increasing the memory on the hosting server should resolve this issue.

To increase the wordpress memory limit please access wp-config.php file and add the below line

    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');

For a detailed explaination please check this link http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
Or you can contact your service provider and they can do it for you.

Let us know if this helps.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hello Vinay,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have contacted my hosting company, and with their help I was able to increase the WordPress memory limit to 256 MB…but that still didn’t resolve the issue.

Could you please look into it again, and see if there is any other solution.

I would like to finish this website as soon as possible.

    Thank you!

    Best,
    Daniel

    Hi,

I checked your site again and there are a couple of jQuery errors. I understand you already re-installed the theme files but this issue is mostly due to currpot files please download a fresh copy of the theme from themeforest and re-place the wp-content/themes/enfold folder manually it should fix this issue – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    Best regards,
    Vinay

Thank you for the quick reply Vinay!

I try implementing your suggestion, and hopefully it’ll fix this issue.

Quick question, by manually do you mean via FTP?

Or can I just try to re-install the theme again?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Please install the theme via FTP or the file manager in the hosting control panel.

    1. Access the folder wp-content/themes/
    2. Delete the enfold folder in wp-content/themes/enfold
    3. Update the latest version of the enfold theme downloaded from themeforest.

Before deleting the enfold folder please back it up in case you have added any modifications and require to transfer it later.

No theme settings will be affected but only if you have modified any php files and added any code it will be lost.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hey Vinay,

    Thanks for the reply.

I wasn’t able to install the theme manually through the file manager.

I’ll contact my hosting company to see if they can help me with that.

Also, I tried re-installing the theme again, and I got an error saying, “Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=471118 in /home/melvin9/public_html/demo/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1858”

    What does this mean?

Could this be the reason I’m having issues making edits?

    Thanks!
