I’ve updated to the Enfold 3.7.1 on WP Version 4.5.3. I’ve gone step by step of the “Get a Key/Authentication” and it worked for my client’s website but not mine. I am using a different Google Key for my site and separate purchased Enfold theme for my site.
My site flashes the map for a brief moment and then comes up with an error message: “Oops! Something went wrong.
This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”I appreciate your time. I have about 20 client sites to update :-) with Enfold!!
Another note: there is an area on the Google API Key setup where it asks:
Accept requests from these HTTP referrers (web sites) (Optional)
Use asterisks for wildcards. If you leave this blank, requests will be accepted from any referrer. Be sure to add referrers before using this key in production.You have not set any referrers. Other applications might be able to use this key.
I have inserted a URL here and have tried without. Neither worked.

I checked my site today and it’s working now. I will update my other client’s websites and hope that whatever the issue was, was simply a “fluke”. :-)
