Hi,
We are actually running an old version of WP (4.0) and ENFOLD (3.0.2) with no issue. We would like to upgrade now to the latest WP (4.5.3) and latest ENFOLD (3.7.1), what is the recommended upgrade path to avoid potential issues ? Is it better to upgrade first WP or ENFOLD ? Also do we need to deactivate the plugins during the upgrade and then upgrade plugins and activate or plugins won’t affect ENFOLD upgrade ?
Please kindly advise
August 11, 2016 at 6:01 am #671158Hi Hyperdevbox,
I would try updating the theme first and then WordPress, but please try the update on a local or staging environment first to avoid any problems on the live site. Also make sure to do backups before starting your process.
Thanks,

We will make sure to have a full backup safe before starting the upgrade.

RikardAugust 16, 2016 at 8:33 am #673058Hi,
We updated and everything seems to work perfectly on the staged area, however I do not understand why the Accordion in the Japanese version of the website (and only in the Q&A page) is shown as stripe of gray and white bands with a different view in mobile mode too (a scrolling area) ? We use the same accordion in the English and French pages and they are “normal” displayed. In addition, accordion are also used in the JP version on different pages and look normal too, only in the Q&A they look weird, do you have any idea why ? Could it be an encoding text difference ?
August 17, 2016 at 6:56 am #673524Ok, it seems it was an issue also before the upgrade so there is no relationship with the process of upgrading, we are going to look into why that JP text only is not displayed correctly.
Thank you again for your support.

Thanks for the feedback, we’ll keep the thread open in case you should need any further help on the topic.

RikardAugust 18, 2016 at 9:01 am #674089Thank you, finally we fixed the issue, it was because the JP text was set with “preformatted” once, we set the text to “paragraph” it was displayed correctly (should someone have the same problem).
