View post summaries in main content

Client loves the way the list of posts comes out in the sidebar and wants them to look exactly like that in the main content body. I could wrap and tweak out html around a widget to get it to come close but that already has started to look pretty nasty and I can see why this would be nice to do in several places. Is there an easy way to mimic the widget display of a list of posts in the main content? Perhaps there is just some plugin or tool I can use to do that instead? Seems like I’m always struggling with WP in some way like this…love the way it looks “there”…why can’t I get it to look the same “here.” I’ve provided the private links to the home page where the display is great in the sidebar and a page where I then try to reuse that same widget in the main body, hoping I can get it to look the same.
