I’m having a problem with our website. I had an SSL certificate installed, but am getting warnings about insecure content from my browser when I visit the site.
I’ve seen the other threads here, and have tried different suggestions you have made but they haven’t worked.
Here’s what I have tried:
– installing the WordPress HTTPS plugin – which is good because I can pick individual pages for https, but I want https for the whole website. When I try doing that, I get the “Broken shield” error messages in the browser – to do with insecure content
– then I tried installing the WordPress Force HTTPS plugin, but that didn’t help either. In fact I had more resources listed (I think it was every image on the page that was listed as insecure – served over http when it should be https)When using WordPress HTTPS plugin, this is one of the errors I noticed:
On Chrome I’ve gone through View>Developer>JavaScript Console and found the following message for one of the pages:
jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3 Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.*******.com.au/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet ‘http://www.*******.com.au/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/static/skins/fullwidth/skin.css’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.What else can I do?
I would like the whole site to be accessed via https.
Thanks

I can’t see any warnings anymore when inspecting your site, did you manage to get it working?

RikardAugust 8, 2016 at 4:04 am #669572Hi Rikard
Thanks. But I haven’t fixed anything. All I did was deactivate the WordPress HTTPS plugin on the home page (which is one of the places where I had a problem). That is, I unselected it in the sidebar for that page.
If you log in, and activate the plugin for the home page, you’ll see what I mean.
Thanks

Thanks very much for the follow up. I installed that plugin and removed the other one, and everything is fine now.
Thanks for your help.
