Hey dablueque,
Demo data can be imported using XML file from Admin > Tools > Import > WordPress
Make sure to check the option “Download and import file attachments” while importing. Please note this will not import the theme settings you may need to set them up and upload if any images are missing from backend once the XML file is imported.

VinayAugust 3, 2016 at 7:10 am #667935Hi I just installed theme. I don’t see a way to use the construction theme. I tried to install the xml file. I still don’t see it in the Enfold Demo import? How do I do that?
August 3, 2016 at 7:58 am #667937Hi,
The theme demo can be imported from Enfold them options Import demos.
If you do not see that oprions please please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
Login credentials include:
- The URL to the login screen.
- A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
- As well as a password for that username.
- permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

VinayAugust 3, 2016 at 7:20 pm #668225Thanks I just realized the theme wasn’t most current version. I updated and I see all the theme options for import. So I have a site I want to update to construction theme.
It has the Enfold default theme. How do I update without losing all my info on site already. I need to do 2 things. I need to update wordpress theme to current version – Will I lose anything on update?
#2 once update I want to use the construction theme. Do I do the import? Will I lose what I have already? Thanks
August 6, 2016 at 7:44 am #669253Hi,
1. You should not lose anything on updates if you have kept any changes to the theme files in a child theme, your settings should be safe.
2. If you import the demo again then yes, your settings in the theme will be replaced by the demo settings.
Please make sure to back up your site prior to updating to make sure you won’t lose anything.
Best regards,
Rikard -
