    Hi there,

I’ve been working on a site in a testfolder on one domain and after using the XCloner plugin to backup the site and restoring it at a different location on another domain link, I noticed that a number of paths seem to still point to the old location…

I already changed the URLs in the wp-config file to point to the new URL but still a lot of dead links, for example the pictures in the backend for the Layer slider are mostly gone, etc etc

How can I fix this and what can I do to avoid this?

    Hey vossenm,

Yeah it appears that some settings were not entered correctly. The plugin should automatically change it once you enter all the necessary details. Manually changing it in multiple places will be prone to errors. Please use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/ and transfer the site again.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Thank you!
Unfortunately I have been moving this site around a few times before already, so I had to fix it using the Updraftplus tool to replace links in the database, but it worked!
