Hi,
I’ve got a site using Enfold, Yoast and Sumome for social sharing.Facebook and Twitter are both turned on for Yoast, and on my home page I’ve added custom Facebook and Twitter descriptions, but while both at one stage seemed to be working, now neither are. When I hit the Facebook share (down the bottom of the screen at all times) it shows almost what’s in the description, but an old version. Twitter is just using the page title and url and nothing else. I can see in the source that the twitter card and og stuff is all in there. It’s almost like there’s a caching issue, but I’m shift-f5’ing my page and no difference.
Thanks for any help!

Please try clearing the cache from your caching plugin and leave it deactivated to see if that helps.
Thanks,
RikardJuly 11, 2016 at 5:57 am #659085It looks like none of the caching features were turned on in w3totalcache, as none of the purge cache buttons are clickable. Page/object/db caches are all unchecked.

Ok, please try running the URL through this tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
Regards,
RikardJuly 11, 2016 at 2:34 pm #659290I got these warnings, I can’t say I understand either or how to fix them, though:
Share App ID Missing
The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.Parser Mismatched Metadata
The parser’s result for this metadata did not match the input metadata. Likely, this was caused by the data being ordered in an unexpected way, multiple values being given for a property only expecting a single value, or property values for a given property being mismatched. Here are the input properties that were not seen in the parsed result: ‘og:locale:locale, og:site_name, fb:admins’—
This tool also showed text that was different to what I’ve entered into Yoast for the home-page.
July 12, 2016 at 12:00 pm #659759Hi,
Ok, could you try clearing the cache from your caching plugin and leave it deactivated until you get the problem fixed please? Also, please update to the latest version of the theme (3.6.1): http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
