I am having a boat load of problems trying to upload images to my library. Is seems to take several minutes to add one image, then it fails. mMy file sizes are smaller than 1024 x 768. My site is not yet published. I keep getting “HTTP error when uploading image” This problem did not exist yesterday. I have search the posts and tried all the fixes I can, with no luck. Any assistance is appreciated. I’m on a time line to get this done.

    Hi tscocozza,

Please send us a temporary admin login so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply. Also please upload an image you are having problems with to a service like dropbox or google drive so that we can try from our end.

    Thanks,
    Rikard

    Hello Rikard,

    1. I do not know how to create a temporary admin login, so that you can have a closer look. I am very new to this format. My site is not published either.

    2. I don’t know how to post details in the Private Content section. I don’t know where that is.

    3. I don’t need to upload an image I am having problems with to a service like dropbox or google drive, because my main problem has nothing to do with images. My images are uploading fine now. It may have been a server issue.

    4. Right now, all I am trying to fix is my inability to change my menu fonts, style or colors in the Main Menu Links page. Nothing happens when any changes are made. I scanned the ‘Forum’ for many hours and could not find any answers. Perhaps I am asking the wrong question. I am so confused…
Who is responsible for answering these issues? Can you help me?

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

1-3. You can create a new user in the Users menu in WordPress, the Private Content area is located just under the box where you write your reply. We will have to have access to the installation in order to see what is going wrong.

    4. Could you try to explain a bit further what problems you are having, exactly what are you trying to do and what is going wrong?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

#1 Apparently, I need to load a different theme prior to uploading large images?

#2 I can not seem to change the font style or size of my header menus. I want to increase the size of my header menu (i.e. HOME, ABOUT, CONTACT etc) via Enfold/General Styling/Logo Area font color. All I can do is change the color of the font. How do I change the font style and size?

#3 The “Update Cart” button on checkout page is not working.Confirmed with Woocomerce. I added the W3 Total Cache plugin and followed the installation steps on: https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/installation/. What a nightmare this is for me. It all looks Greek.I can’t comprehend most of what is written there. Is there a simple way to fix this problem? I’m not a programmer and most of the instructions are confusing to me. I tried all the combination I can and it still won’t “Update Cart”. The quantity changes, but nothing else updates.

    Thank you,

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

We will need a URL as well to be able to log in. You can try to increase the WordPress PHP memory to see if that helps: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

I updated my host to use PHP 5.6
    with a define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’);
and it still won’t “Update Cart”…

    Hi,

Ok, 64mb is not a lot to be honest, could you try 128 or higher? Also, we will need a URL to your site to check error messages and the backend.

    Thanks,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

64mb seems to be the highest I can go. I tried saving 128mb and nothing changes.
Are there other setting to try? What do you think is the problem?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the URL, the login details are not working though. Could you check/verify please?

    Thanks,

    Hi Rikard,

Sorry, I had to redo it 3 times. WordPress is difficult with passwords. I check this one myself. Please note I and a few days away from my 30 day refund window with Ehost. I’d like to get this resolved or if not, can you recommend a host that won’t have these memory issues?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rikard,

I think I may have fixed it by struggling through instructions in post #650161 from mensmaximus. Please comment if this was advisable.

    Hi,

I’m not sure what comment you are referring to but if it fixed your problems I would say go for it :-)

    Regards,
    Rikard
