Hi!
I’d like to add a personal icon instead of one of the text links in my menu. Is it possible?
Thank you for your time.
June 21, 2016 at 2:47 pm #651517Hi Solusse!
Can you please elaborate on the changes you would like to make?
Also, please create a temporary admin login and post it here privately if you would like us to apply the changes for youCheers!
YigitJune 21, 2016 at 2:57 pm #651522Hi, absolutely.
See private message.June 21, 2016 at 3:40 pm #651531Hey!
Oh if that is an image, you can go to Appearance > Menus and add your image into navigation field using HTML – http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_img.asp
Cheers!
YigitJune 21, 2016 at 4:02 pm #651547It worked! Thanks a million. This support is the best!
Now I have two more questions:
Can I get a text link in the menu to take me straight to an external site?
And: I’d like to update to the latest version of Enfold – how do I do that without risking all my changes in the original theme to get lost?June 21, 2016 at 4:38 pm #651569Hey!
You can go back to Appearance > Menus and click “Screen options” on the top right corner and check “link target” and then add a new Custom Link to your menu and choose to open it on a new tab :)
Have you made any changes on the files? If you have not, you can simply update the theme – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
YigitJune 22, 2016 at 2:41 pm #652105Hi again,
Yes I’ve made a few changes (or adding) onto the Quick CSS. Would that disappear when I update the theme?
June 22, 2016 at 2:43 pm #652110Hey!
No, changes you made in theme options and your content is saved on your database. Only theme files will be overwritten and you do not need to worry about that if you have not made any changes on them.
Best regards,
YigitJune 22, 2016 at 3:28 pm #652160I didn’t quite understand that.
By explaining for dummies: How do I get this image link to open an external link in a new tab? Link to print screen below.June 22, 2016 at 3:38 pm #652168Hey!
On that page, please scroll to the top and click “Screen options” button on the top right corner and check “Link target” and then click on your menu item and you will see new link target option will appear where you can choose to open the link in a new window
Cheers!
YigitJune 22, 2016 at 3:49 pm #652173Thanks! And can I get the link to open another website instead of a subpage of my own website?
June 22, 2016 at 4:05 pm #652186Sorry, got it!
