I have an incompatibility showing up between Enfold and WPML that is new. The “Theme and Plugins Localization” page is blank, which is where the basic Theme and WP translation setting are making it impossible to translate or manage the translations.
I have gone through everything. No plugins are conflicting. I have disabled them all except Woocommerce and WPML. Then checked the themes and tried with all plugins activated in the “TwentyFifteen” theme. The Theme and Localization page opened no problem. Plugins activated or not make no difference.
In the theme “Enfold” when all plugins deactivated, the page Theme and Localization page did not open. So the incompatibility seems to be within the Enfold theme—probably due to the latest WPML update. I have used WPML in Enfold for over a year and translated another site that is essentially identical to this one with no propblems. However, that same site now has this issue even though it has translations done. So, this incompatibility issue is brand new, but renders WPML multilingual useless.
I must debug this issue or I will have to reimburse the client for many thousands of dollars and the whole ecommerce business becomes a liability since they are in Montreal and by law must have a French website or get fined. This is a big financial liability.
Please help me debug this on the staging site I will give which is a duplicate of the live site.
I am turning the WP error logging off for now, if you want it on again please alert me.

June 17, 2016 at 10:34 pm #650015June 18, 2016 at 6:30 pm #650232I hope you can get to this. See this topic: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-wpml-compatibility/#post-649793
This is an incompatibility that makes it impossible to do translations with Enfold. I must get this working because there is far too much money invested in this ecommerce site—it would be impossible to change themes as it is live and the client will hold me financially repsonsible.
The WPML has worked until now on Enfold, so this is a new incompatibility.
Please help out. Let me know if you need furrther data of access. We can turn of WP error logging in this staging site if needed.
Thanks.
June 18, 2016 at 9:11 pm #650286Hey!
as Yigit said, we have already report the issue to Kriesi and he already replied he will fix as soon as possible.
We are sorry for the trouble, we do appreciate all the patienceRegards,
BasilisJune 18, 2016 at 9:31 pm #650290Can I have an estimated time for this fix? I have a very difficult client and am expected to have thie translation turned around within 2-weeks. They are a Canadian comopany and are facing government fines if they do not get the French site up after a certain period.
I have two live ecommerce site with this same issue.
I need to be able to expllain something to them—this is an issue they are not going to understand—they are paying clients, not tech personnel.
Than said, is there any way I can downgrade the WPML installation and have it compatible?
Thanks.

June 18, 2016 at 9:34 pm #650292…also, I didn’t see any repy from Yigit, or any information about this issue in the forums.
June 21, 2016 at 6:58 pm #651647Hi,
I’m sorry, but we can’t help you in this case. If you’ve got a time sensitive project I recommend to hire a freelance developer for this job: kriesi.at/contact/customization
Otherwise you’d need to wait until Kriesi could fix this issue. He’s working hard to improve the theme and to fix any issues.
Talk to WPML support too.
Best regards,
AndyJune 21, 2016 at 8:29 pm #651697Understood—you have a lot of users. I already have two programmers working on this—and I already use Codeable.
Most of WPML still sees compatible as far as I can tell right now—but I am just translating the strings, store and products so far. A workaround for making the settings on the “Theme and Plugins Localization” page is to switch themes to “TwentyFifteen,” where the page does show up, adjust the settings, then switch back. Seems to work OK.
Thank you.
June 21, 2016 at 9:19 pm #651727Hi,
glad you’ve found a solution for you. Let us know in a new ticket if you have some more questions related to the theme. We are happy to assist you.
Best regards,
