    Hi guys,

I am having a problem with the front page settings – After a recent update, the old front page was still listed as “front page” in the page area even though it was a draft, and another page had been chosen in the theme options, and showed fine on the front end. I trashed the old file and now there is no page listed as “front page”. Not sure if this is a problem but had not seen it before. See below – the only page that’s not a draft is selected as the “front page” but is not being marked in the list. ??

    thanks for taking a look

    Hi,

I checked your site for the issue and it appears that due to similar names there must be some sort of a confusion. However wordpress creates different permalinks for pages with same names and pages which are in draft state are prohibited by wordpress to all except for only admin.

The other place you can confirm the same is by going to Enfold > Theme Options > Frontpage Settings here you can set the front page but the draft pages will not be sown here.

I double assure you that there is absolutely no issue with the front page settings.

Best way to prevent this in future is

    1. Have different names for each page and make the other pages private so only admin can view it.

    2.enable debug mode http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/

    3. Once it’s done you can easily copy shortcodes from one page to another.

Let us know if you have any issue.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

Thanks – I also don’t see any problem on the site itself, but I had never seen this issue with the front page not being listed in the pages admin. and yes, I changed the page names and urls many times so there may have been a confusion there.

    best
