    We are experiencing a bug when using the Avia Layout Editor. There seems to be an autosave that happens when we save changes to one of the content or media element windows. When we hit the Save button to close the window then the page Update button will grey out for a couple seconds before it is active again and the page can be updated. However, if we hit the Update button just before it greys out then it goes into an endless loop and gets hung. When we reload the page, the changes we made are lost and have to be redone.

    Is this a known issue and when can we expect a fix?

    Once the button turns blue again, there is no issue… it seems that there is a tiny window of time when the button is about to grey out (auto-save) and if one clicks it right then, it locks up and all changes are lost

    For now, please wait for a few seconds before clicking the button in order make sure that the changes are saved. Thank you.

    That is what I try to do. But sometimes the button is going to get greyed out some seconds after closing a widget so waiting a few seconds is not a guarantee of success. The only sure way is to wait (sometimes 30 seconds+) for the button to grey out then when it is back, then hit save.

    Are you working on some resolution for this problem?

    Yes we are looking into it, although I think that this is a general WordPress ‘problem’ and not theme related.

    Hi,

    Glad you are looking into it. It may indeed be a wordpress problem, however, it is when using the avia layout builder that I consistently encounter it. So it may be that the Avia layout builder brings out a problem in wordpress.
