Hello,
I have a portfolio grid set up with pagination. Our portfolio has over 100 items in it, so it has a second page by default.
Whenever I filter something by category, and then move to the second page of results, the category filter disappeared.
For example: if I am viewing all portfolio items, and then click “Logo Design” to filter all of the logos out of the portfolio, that works great. But some of the logos are on the second page. When I hit the second page, now I am seeing ALL portfolio items on the second page, instead of just logos like I had originally filtered.
How can I fix this?

Could you provide us with a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?
Best regards,

I am wondering if you found a solution for this issue — I am having the same problem
Many thanks
June 28, 2016 at 5:50 pm #654344Hey @janejoyce There is no solution honestly its just a theme issue. I dug back through the support forums and this same question has been getting asked for years – it doesn’t seem like something big enough for anyone to spend the time fixing.
I am going to try to submit it as a feature request when I get around to it. In the meantime my version of a hacked together fix was to edit the portfolio shortcode so that the max number of posts was 200 instead of 100. That would allow me to show all 167 items without pagination. This isn’t a great solution as it requires my portfolio page to load 167 items but it at least solves issue temporarily until I can figure out a fix.
June 29, 2016 at 10:35 am #654707Thanks very much for that. I agree, not an ideal solution, but better than none for the moment. If my client doesn’t like the result, I may get some code written to correct the issue, and if I do, I’ll let you know.
July 2, 2016 at 1:50 am #655949Hi,
We are very sorry for the delay. This is actually one of the limitations of the category sorting script. It cannot fetch items from other pages. You have to display all items in a single page and disable the pagination if you want every items to be sorted.
