Hello hello,
Let me start by saying that the web design company I work for absolutely loves enfold and we use it every day for our clients.
We have noticed though through many versions once we have built a website using a child them as recommended (on our test server) and launch the website for our client (uploading everything to their website host) – the new website becomes live but immediately reverts to the default blog page, colors and the enfold logo. THUS we have to wait for the site to show and immediately log in, add the company logo back, the favicon and upload a theme settings txt file (we exported from the test server version of the site) so that it will display as it is supposed to. Often we also have to copy any paste all the contact form 7 forms from the test site to the live site as it doesn’t carry over.
Themes we built ourselves in the past or other themes we used to use were a simple upload and go – no need to jump in and fix all the settings to the website (everything will display as it is supposed to right away).
Is there a reason the theme does this and is this something that will be fixed in a newer update? We are hoping to not need to do this last step once a site is launched after having done all the work already on our testing site.
Any advice would be appreciated :)

Hey Bcunningham,
There are many way’s to move a wordpress site and if you wish to move the site in one package, so it saves you all the repetitive work of setting things up every time after you setup a new site, give these plugins a try:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-clone-by-wp-academy/
Best regards,
Vinay
Okay I will look into these options.
Thank you.
