    Hi,

    what do I have to do when getting the following error message:
    add_object_page is outdated since version 4.5! Use instead add_menu_page().
    Continuation of the error message in the private data.

    Hey Nicoletta_DUS,

    When did you start seeing that error message? Did you make any changes to any of the core theme or WordPress files prior to seeing it?

    I guess I started seeing that error message when adding a slider and make changes. No changes in the files. :-(

    Hi Nic,

    If you go to the link I posted or go to Dashboard–>Updates, you will see an option to reinstall WordPress. Could you try that please?

    Hi Rikard,

    I don’t believe that I should reinstall WP! After every update I have to install things new, the theme or WP. In the meanwhile it’s a full time project. It is also a bit risky for me to do that. Any other solution?

    Hi Nic,

    Not sure why you think that is not an option for you? You are getting errors on core WordPress file and reinstalling WordPress should hopefully fix that. Please try it and make sure that you do a full site backup before you do it so that you can roll back in case something goes wrong. I’m afraid I don’t have any other suggestion for you at the moment.
