    Wordpress 4.5.2
    Enfold Parent 3.5.4
    Using Child Theme
LayerSlider 5.6.5 (releases 13th April 2016) ver 5.6.8 is available but does not come with Enfolds latest version.
    no plugins installed.

I had a clean install – everything worked fine.
LayerSlider – did a .json file import of a LayerSlider from another site.
After this I noticed that the LayerSlider was not saving my updates.

    I have done the following:
    DELETED parent theme
    UPLOADED new parent Theme 3.5.1
    Reinstalled Core WP 4.5.2
phpMyAdmin – emptied the wp_layerslider table
Updated ENFOLD to latest version 3.5.4
removed LayerSlider element from the page – so no sliders are used anywhere.

    Create new LayerSlider.
Slider Settings > setup my setting > [Save Changes]
LayerSlider WP > All Sliders > load slider
my slider setting were not saved.

    please advise

    further debug testing…

Don’t upgrade theme and leave Parent Theme at ENFOLD 3.5.1

    The LayerSlider settings are saved.

I am now able to add slides to my slider

After I have done adding the slides – I will do a backup of the site. – then upgraded the parent theme – to see if the error still occurs.

    back soon!

    Ok Confirmed!

    ENFOLD 3.5.1

Please also note – that Masonry Grid , did not work with Custom Post types enabled.
This was fixed with the upgrade.

    UPGRADED to ENFOLD 3.5.4

    Added new LayerSlider = “TEST”
    LAYOUT >
    slider width: 100%
    slider height: 150
    responsive: yes
    Full-width: yes
    Responsive under :1140px
    Layer Container:1140px
    SLIDESHOW >
    Other Settings: Two way slideshow
    NAVIGATION AREA >
Show Prev & Next buttons: yes
Show Prev & Next buttons on hover: yes
    [SAVE CHANGES]

LAYERSLIDER WP > ALL Sliders > open “TEST”

    All the settings are Default

    SLIDE #1
    Slide Options >
slide image & thumbnail – set background image
    [SAVE CHANGES]

LAYERSLIDER WP > ALL Sliders > open “TEST”
    No Thumbnail image
    No slide background image

also tested adding a second SLIDE #2 >saved and opened again – NO SLIDE #2

So it appears that LayerSlider is not actually saving any data

    Hi,

Thank you for the info. We would like to check the dashboard but I think you forgot the url to the site. Since this is not happening on our installations then it’s probably caused by another plugin or a custom modification to the theme.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi there,

we had the same problem with settings that could not be saved in an earlier version just a couple of weeks ago to exisiting LayerSliders and we tried (together with your support guys) everything to sort it out, but no luck.

Now we updated the test system to WP 4.5.2 and Enfold 3.5.4 and also deactivated all plugins. We could save only some settings in new LayerSliders, but for example the URLs with [post-url] are not saved. I also tried to change the jquery file in functions.php that is currently recommended.

Very interested, if you find a fix. Let me know, if I can support this thread.

    Hi,

@HuxburyQuinn: Is this happening on a particular slider? We edited the test slider and it works fine. You can see the slider in action here:

    Hi Ismael,

I’m talk entirely about the layer slider admin – nothing to do with the front end display

try changing the slide settings or adding another slide and save

    nothing is saved

    Hi,

try changing the slide settings or adding another slide and save

That’s what I did. And as you can see in the “test2” slider, the settings and the layers are still there.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

I think you are missing the point.

    Slider Settings > slide width by default is 600px;

if you change ANY slide setting to anything else other than default the setting is not changed
Try change the slide dimension slide width from default 600px to 1600px and save
reload the slide from the ALL sliders – view the settings – the width is still default 600px.

try insert a background image on each of the slides. Save . Reload the slide from All Sliders. The slides don’t have a background image.
