My client would like to have a different thumbnail image that appears on the bog main page and from the feature image that appears on the post page. Is that possible ?

So basically on the blog landing page she wants a different image to appear but when you user clicks on the full post the current featured image should be there.
Does this make sense?

You can use Advanced Layout Builder to create your blog posts and add featured image and different image on top of your post. Or you can add your image to the top of your post and remove featured image from single post
