    A problem with the Mejs video player on one of my pages – on desktop the initial video screen displays with the ‘play’ button in the middle, but on mobile (a real iphone, not just Chrome inspector) – the initial screen doesn’t display, just a white box.

    I’m not sure the best way to fix this, but in other mp4 environments I’ve been able to set an initial still png screen for the video – is this possible with the mejs player?

    Damn – just rechecked this on iPad – I get the ‘splash’ screen for some videos, but no play button.

    Hi,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    What if you use the theme’s video element? It is located under the Media Elements panel of the Advance Layout Builder. This element should be more responsive compare to the default video shortcode. There may be no play/pause button overlay but the default controls should work on desktop and mobile view. Another workaround is to use the Image element and open the video inside a lightbox.
