I purchased the full $200 version of WPML and loaded all the files to my website in the plugins area. When I activated the main WPML file ( ‘WPML Multilingual CMS’) it shuts down my website and all I get on the home page is this fatal error message:

Fatal error: __clone method called on non-object in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas06_data03/92/3181492/html/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.class.php on line 2875

My website meets all of their minimum requirements. I loaded in a different theme (Twenty Fourteen) and then reactivated ‘WPML Multilingual CMS’ plugin and the error was gone – that theme worked fine. When I changed the theme back again to enfold it gave me the same fatal error message. Here is a screenshot of that error: http://emea.apsystems.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Screen-Shot-2016-05-03-at-2.52.58-PM.png

You will not see the error as I had to deactivate the plugin again so my website works again.

    Hi debbienz,

Could you try to disable all other plugin except WPML to see if there is a conflict with any of them please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Ok, just did that. I disabled all 20+ plugins and activated the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin again and YES, it still gave me the same “Fatal Error” message, blacked out my website and caused it to run VERY slowly.

    Hey!

    Sorry for the delay,

The site loading can be improved a bit more please optimize the images using a plugin like smush it and minify js and css with a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache.

Please analize the site in https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ and here http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hi hunter74,

Please open a new thread and include admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look. You might want to contact WPML support as well since it seems like the plugin is throwing the errors.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
