    When I tried updating my Enfold theme, via the WordPress prompt, I received an error message – something having to do with a bad Zip file “could not find end of central directory”.

    Can you check things on your end to make sure your update zip is not corrupt.

    Hey udfb,

    Most probably you have downloaded a zip file including all the files inside.
    You have to unzip it and upload only the enfold folder.

    No, I am using the WordPress update theme feature. I go to Appearance: Themes. Then I click on Enfold, where it states an update is available. Then I press the update link and get an error when unpacking the update:

    Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    which is a zip error, I believe.

    Okay, I figured it out, and you can close this ticket.

    The update did not work when I tried using Envato Market plugin to do the updates.

    But when I switched to the Envato WordPress Toolkit to do the updates, then it worked.

    I think this is server specific.
