After upgrading to WordPress 4.5 my pages are showing an unwanted sidebar that lists all of the pages on the site. No settings were changed, this just happened with the update. Default settings in enfold is no sidebar for pages, and the default sidebar widget is empty and the sidebar pages widget is empty.
I’ve also done the hard reset and cleared the cache multiple times. I’ve also added the code to the functions.php file.
Please help at your earliest convenience.
April 22, 2016 at 11:00 am #619741Hey ryanqb!
The site looks good on my end and is loading fine without any errors . Try to hard reload and empty browser cache and review the site again.
To do a hard refresh… First press Ctrl + Shift + i to open the Chrome Dev Tools then hold down Ctrl and click on the Reload button.
Best regards,
VinayApril 22, 2016 at 5:06 pm #620086The site loads find, but there should not be a sidebar on the home page. I’ve done the hard reset over 20 times and it still shows the sidebar.
Additionally, when I try to make changes to the sidebar from the enfold theme admin, the changes don’t reflect on the site. Ex. Left sidebar on pages, it stays with the sidebar on the right.

RikardApril 23, 2016 at 7:46 pm #620596Hey there,
I’ve the same problem.
I tracked it down to the settings for the blog page. Somehow the sidebar settings fpr the blog page don’t take effect. It is possile to move the sidebar to the left in Theme options, but it is not possible to set an specific sidebar in the page edit of it.Please check on that.
All the best,
Peter

April 25, 2016 at 5:32 am #620985Hi,
I’m not sure what is going on there, could you please try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

RikardApril 26, 2016 at 6:51 am #621922Hello,
I’ve done this and it still isn’t working. I’ve also switched themes and don’t have this problem. It seems like the settings are not being updated from within the enfold theme. The settings do change for the widgets, however when there is nothing in the “Page Sidebar” or “Display Everywhere” widgets it still shows the unwanted side bar which shows pages, categories, and archive.
Please help me to get this resolved.
Thanks,
DanielApril 26, 2016 at 7:26 am #621949I went into the sidebar.php and changed
From
$default_sidebar = true;to
$default_sidebar = false; But I’m still getting white space where the sidebar was improperly being displayed.
April 28, 2016 at 9:46 am #623567Hi!
The unwanted sidebar shows up when the “Ultimate Member” plugin is activated. We deactivated the plugin temporarily and the sidebar disappears: http://good.exchange/
Cheers!
