Hey there!
Apologies if this has been answered, I’m new to WP and have tried searching but to no avail.
I recently built a site locally on my computer, simply to get a feel for Enfold and learn the ropes of WP. This site as it turns out will be for a business later on and I was hoping to eventually take it online once I got the green light from the client. I recently got an email for the new Enfold update and simultaneously discovered I should have been using a child theme to ease future updates. Oops. My question is whats the best way to go about updating this current site aswell as future updates? Am I better off to completely start fresh, install the Enfold Child theme, and then re-build this site saving me from all future headaches, or is there a way to salvage the site without risking losing everything in this update.
Thanks for all your help, you guys have been super helpful for a noob like me!

If you have not made any changes on theme files, you can update the theme without worrying about it.
However if you have made any changes on theme files or are planning to, we definitely recommend you to use a child theme – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/.
You can activate your child theme and click “import parent theme options” to import them and then you can move modified files to your child themeCheers!

Thanks for your help, I’ll go ahead and update now and use the child theme!
