    Please take a look now!

Tried to update my theme via FTP and got a white screen! Had to revert back to previous version to get my files live again. Had used a /dev folder to create the site. php file had an error on line 12? Please help.

Also how do you add images to portfolio categories? I added preview image to portfolio but doesn’t show up. I’d written about this before but you suggested I update the theme first. Please please please help. Having heart attack here :) not really but definitely stressed… :)

    Hi,

Did you try deactivating plugins while you update? Are we allowed to try to update it?

    Regards,
    Rikard

Yes you can try. Just keep me posted so if there is a glitch, I can call the hosting company! Sherie

    Hey!

Could you please post FTP credentials here privately as well? Also, please upload the latest version of enfold.zip file on your server and tell us where so we can update the theme for you :)

    Regards,
    Yigit

I uploaded the zip in the public_html menu. You will see it as UPDATED…etc. The update gave me a white screen and I cannot get my portfolio grid to work. Please see FTP credentials below. And please diagnose the problem with the portfolio grid. Please keep me informed as I am VERY STRESSED over this and need to keep my client online! Thanks so much!

    Hey!

Before updating the theme, please disable the template files (archive.php, 404.php etc) in the child theme folder including the functions.php file. Rename those files temporarily. Let us know if you still encounter the error.

    Regards,
    Ismael

I am VERY uncomfortable doing all of that on my own! I am not a developer and screwed it up once already :(. Help help help…please save me from the lions…

    Hi!

You will be working on a child them so it’s a pretty safe ground. Locate the template files (archive.php, 404.php etc) and then rename those. Update the theme afterwards.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

All is updated; however, with the 4.5 WordPress update, the sliders don’t show up while you are logged into the wordpress as admin and have cache enabled in the browser. But if you open the same website in another browser where you have not logged in as an admin before the website comes up just fine. The only explanation to this behavior I can think is the theme is not behaving properly in your latest version.

    Hi!

The site looks good on my end this is not a theme issue you are facing. The browser which you are viewing is caching old files. Try to hard reload and empty browser cache and review the site again.
To do a hard refresh… First press F12 to open the Chrome Dev Tools then hold down Ctrl and click on the Reload button.

    Best regards,
    Vinay
