Hi,
Encountering a strange new issue with using mailto links in the “button” and “fullwidth button” content elements using the layout builder.
When I built the site, I created lots of buttons with mailto links for “contact us” functionality. There was no issue. However, now I am noticing the following behaviors:
– When editing a page that had been built with a mailto button, i receive the following error(s):
Notice: Undefined index: icon_select in /home/amcham/amcham/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/shortcode-template.class.php on line 683
Notice: Undefined index: color in /home/amcham/amcham/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/shortcode-template.class.php on line 683
Notice: Undefined index: size in /home/amcham/amcham/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/shortcode-template.class.php on line 683
Notice: Undefined index: position in /home/amcham/amcham/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/shortcode-template.class.php on line 683
– The button will still work until I update the page, at which point the entire button will break, all color/hover/icon functions are totally broken until I remove the link.
– When adding a new button on a new page, it works until i add a mailto link, then i get error code inside the layout builder itself. Screenshot:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/arrc63esapq0kum/Screenshot%202016-03-30%2010.50.53.png?dl=0– Basically now if i have to update any page with a mailto button, i need to delete the button and replace it with another type of link. Hoping there is some kind of solution. I have tried to disable plugins and test, but no luck so far.
Thank you for any help you might be able to offer.

Please provide the link to your site where we can inspect the element in question.
It might also be due to a plugin conflict
To find if there is any plugin in conflict please follow the below steps1. Goto plugins page > Deactivate all active Plugins
2. Updated WordPress and Enfold to latest version if you have not.
3. Activate one plugin at a time… refresh the page and check for the issue.
4. Make sure the plugins are all updatedCheers!

March 30, 2016 at 11:53 am #605091Hi!
The mailto format used is incorrect “mailto:mailto: (Email address hidden if logged out) ”
Please check this link and correctly setup the mailto link it should work correctly https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/link-wordpress-email-address/
Regards,
VinayMarch 31, 2016 at 3:47 am #605601Actually I am being careful to NOT include mailto: in my link, I only put in the email address. Here is another screenshot of what happens when I open the fullwidth button element editor in the back end after setting a mailto link and saving the page:

March 31, 2016 at 4:16 am #605609Hey!
We need to take a closer look at this issue and we need access to wordpress backend please create a temporary user with ‘administrator’ role and share in private content with permission to deactivate all plugins and add custom code if necessary to help you resolve this issue.
Best regards,
VinayAugust 25, 2016 at 11:26 am #677435I’m having a similar problem – whereby the email address won’t save. It appears just once then on refresh reverts to original. This is a glitch since updating to WordPress 4,6???
Is there a fix?
August 26, 2016 at 7:29 am #677977Hi @benduncalf,
Try to delete the element, save, then recreate it to see if that helps. If not then please start a new thread and include admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.
Thanks,
