How to add a widget area over a fullwidth easy slider?

Hi, and thanks for the answer. Think we might be misunderstanding each other though… this doesn’t answer my question!

I would like to add a widget on top of a fullwidth easy slider, instead of using the caption option.

The fullwidth easy slider allows me to add images or videos into a slideshow. However when it comes to adding an overlay the options are pretty limited: I can add a caption title, text, and a button. I can add a different caption for each slide, or keep the same one on all of them. This is a good start but doesn’t give me the flexibility I would really like.

I have some extra functionality in a widget on my website and would like to be able to place this on top of the fullwidth easy slider so I can get a slideshow and give customers the extra functionality needed. I can’t do this with the default caption/button options.

I can’t see a way to do this (have checked the documentation & shortcodes but didn’t see a solution). However I did see the tip about adding a widget area to the header, and wondered if there might be a similar custom way of adding this for the main page content when it displays a fullwidth easy slider?
