Bought theme today. Imported Construction Dummy/demo. Everything looks great. Tried to edit a section on the home page…went to pages > Home in WP backend. Found section I wanted to change “Reliable construction service since 1973. We are not just building houses. We are building dreams.” I clicked on that section, made a text change, clicked save and then clicked “Update” however, the changes did not work. It reverted back to the dummy/demo text. Please help! Thank you so much!
March 23, 2016 at 5:13 pm #602646Please someone help me! Thank you!
March 23, 2016 at 5:18 pm #602648Hey!
Please try to increase the allocated memory to 128M: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
You can contact your service provider and they can do it for you.If that does not help, please try de-activating all active plugins

YigitMarch 23, 2016 at 5:44 pm #602671Hello! I changed the memory limit to 128M in /wp-includes/default-constants.php I included a screenshot. This is what the link you sent said to do – strange. I don’t want to deactivate all of the plugins – that’s not a good way, right? I’ll fill you in on what I did – I installed a fresh version of WP in embirk.com/signsoln. I then imported the Enfold theme. I then activated it, and finally, I imported the construction dummy/demo content. I went to pages, and am trying to make simple edits in the text on that page. The changes appear to save until I click “update” then they revert back. What am I doing wrong?? Thank you!!! SO Much!!
March 23, 2016 at 6:08 pm #602702I also deactivated the two plugins that were activated – still no luck – PLEASE HELP! I have a theme I can’t change! LOL!!!
March 23, 2016 at 6:18 pm #602707Hi!
If you do not mind, can you please post FTP logins here privately as well so we can look further into the issue? :)
Cheers!
YigitMarch 23, 2016 at 6:20 pm #602708Sure, they are included here
March 23, 2016 at 6:40 pm #602719Hi!
Thank you. These are WordPress admin credentials. What we need is FTP logins to be able to make changes on files :)

March 23, 2016 at 7:07 pm #602742I am having a very similar problem using the “Advanced Editor” whereby I create a new page (or edit an older one) and drop a full width layout element then drop a text block in that element. I select the text block and edit the content. Hit save and it doesn’t save the text I input. When I click on the text block to edit again the editor comes up but loses all the formatting options, the text itself turns white and it basically freezes, I can’t save or exit. The only way I can get out of it is by navigating to a different section of the site from the links on the very top of the page losing any other previous changes i.e.: graphics etc.
I’m about to update the theme in entirety and I’ll change the settings as mentioned above then report back if nothing changes.
March 23, 2016 at 8:18 pm #602778Any issues in logging in via FTP? Please keep me updated. I can’t use this download until this is resolved. Please help!
Thank you!!
March 23, 2016 at 8:27 pm #602780So I’ve updated to the latest theme. Changed my memory limit to 128mb and still the same result. It seams the only way I can add text to a text block and have it save is by using the “Text” tab instead of the “Visual” tab. I can work around it as I’ve been coding HTML for over 10 years but I don’t want to always have to do that.
I just checked to see if once the text is in I can edit with the “Visual” editor yet when I look at the “Text” version the HTML/CSS tags have been changed. So in the end I suppose I found a work around but it cost me 2 days of updates as I’m new to the theme. I may be the only case but in my case it was costly.
March 23, 2016 at 9:18 pm #602793Are you still with me? Please let me know if we are making progress – thank you!!
March 23, 2016 at 10:01 pm #602802Even with the work around, there are still times when I go to edit existing text elements and the editor just freezes on me. At least I’ve got one page roughly done. Makes it hard to do small tweaks though.
March 24, 2016 at 7:47 pm #603367Please help! This is three days later – I bought a product I can’t use! There is a bug/issue where I can’t save anything!!! PLEASE RESPOND – already sent all login credentials…yesterday. Thank you so much in advance!

IsmaelMarch 28, 2016 at 4:53 pm #603917Yes…This morning – wasting a LOT more time, I completely deleted the Enfold theme from my server. I then re-installed and activated via the WP interface. No change, still can’t change the text and save it on the demo construction file. So, next I install and create a child theme to see if there is a difference. Nope. Still can’t change it. This is going on almost a week! I really need assistance on this – please help! I bought this and I can’t use it! I have a deadline! PLEASE help me!!!
March 28, 2016 at 9:14 pm #604059Hey!
for thousands of customers it’s working fine, so something must cause this problem especially on your end. I can’t reproduce it neither on my end. Seems to me that you don’t have enough PHP memory limit still. Please call your hosting provider and ask how much php memory limit you have on your server. Best would be to use 256MB.
Although you have done it already: please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/

AndyMarch 29, 2016 at 5:42 am #604245The error won’t duplicate? So, when you log in via the info i provided – you are able to change text on the homepage of the construction demo import in my account? From what you are saying, this is true – that is what “Can’t duplicate error” means, correct? Would you mind doing a test change in the content on the home page? Maybe replace some text with the phrase “This really does work?” Thank you – I am not trying to be a pain – I installed a fresh install of WP via my Bluehost/Simplescripts CPanel. I then paid for the theme you offer, and uploaded the theme via FTP and I have also tried using teh WP uploader. I even tried to create a child theme. I have repeated this process several times. I have also changed the PHP memory limit – to 256MB. Nothing is working. Any other ideas? I am really in need of help! Thank you!

March 29, 2016 at 6:45 am #604271Hey!
As mentioned the revisions on the demo pages is not getting saved on your installation.
After enabling the debug mode
We created a new page and checked for the issue and the revisions works fine and you can edit the content (Link in private)
I believe it is due to folder permission please check and update the folder permission on FTP http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions#Using_an_FTP_Client

March 29, 2016 at 6:02 pm #604712Hi Vinnie!
Okay, since I previously used the automatic installer through cPanel in Bluehost, I deleted the previous installation and decided to start over. I then manually installed WordPress (latest version) new on my server in a new directory: embirk.com/solutions. I have included login information for this new wordpress account. I am still having the same problem. I honestly do not know or understand what is going on. please see if you can duplicate my frustration:
1) log in to my account (I have included info in private)
2) Go to “Pages > All Pages >Home >Edit”
3) Click on the section that reads “Reliable construction service since 1973. We are not just building houses. We are building dreams.” and change this heading text to something else.
4) Click save in the dialogue box that popped up. (It will appear that the changes are saved)
5) Click “Update” to save the new changes/page.This is where nothing happens. It reverts back to the original dummy text “Reliable construction service since 1973. We are not just building houses. We are building dreams.” instead of what it was changed to. I have no idea what to do – this is the issue I have had for over a week – since I purchased this theme. I don’t understand that I am the only one to ever have this issue. There are thousands of files/dozens of folders…you mentioned changing file permissions – but which ones? Also, shouldn’t these permissions already be set correctly by default in a new WP installation?
Please help me get this sorted out – I am so far behind right now!! Thank you!! So much!!!
March 30, 2016 at 7:25 pm #605394Hey!

AndyMarch 30, 2016 at 7:42 pm #605404Hi, Andy
My problem is different – I tried the above – no luck. Basically, as it is stated in the post above, please try to duplicate my error by going through steps 1-5. I have tried everything. I am so confused and frustrated! It has been a week and a half, and I can’t edit the Construction Demo content!! I really am behind now! PLEASE HELP!! Thank you!

March 30, 2016 at 8:33 pm #605447Hey!
You theme installation or your WP installation is behaving very weird. It still seems to me that your server is not using 256MB of php memory limit, which could cause this issue. I can’t reproduce the issue on my end and if we can’t reproduce it then we can’t do much about it. For thousand of other people it’s working just fine.
I creates this page http://embirk.com/solutions/kriesi-test/ and could change the text in question, but this page is showing some errors, which tell me that your theme files are corrupt or there is not enough php memory limit available on your server.
Cheers!
