Magazine – Not Removing Old Posts

Hello

I use the magazine element on my front page. I created a post that form some reason had the wrong publish date in it. So I updated the date to today and saved it. It appeared fine in my blog page. However, magazine is still showing the original post that when I click on it gives a 404. I do use W3 total cache and purged the page from the cache. I also tried changing the offset setting from do not allow duplicate posts to 7 ( the number of articles in the section. Please help. Thank you!
