Hi team,
a German court has recently decided on Facebook plugins, especially regarding the like button. Usage of plugins which directly call Facebook and transfer data becomes illegal in Germany.
Example: Kriesi’s Facebook page plugin in the right column will soon be illegal in Germany.
My question: How does the embedded share functionality in Enfold work? Are there any functionalities I should not use in Germany anymore because they are calling Facebook or other networks directly?
Thanks for your recommendation!
Best regards
Oliver
Hi Oliver!
the share buttons at the end of blog posts, as well as the icons on the top right of the header are safe to use as far as I can tell. The do not communicate with facebook because they are basically just links and need to be clicked by the user to load either facebook or the facebook sharer
Cheers!
Kriesi
