I am able to create my own vector graphics that are not part of Fontelico list.
Is it possible to upload an illustrator or png custom graphic the same way?

You can upload SVG icons on Fontello.com. If you would like to use images, please turn on custom CSS field for ALB elements – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/ and edit your element and give it a custom CSS class and then post the link to your page and point out the element you would like to edit.
