Add custom field to ost List page

Hello
My posts using ‘events’ category are listed on a static page using the avia ‘blog post’ content element.
Each post displays image, title, excerpt text and meta data to show post date
I am adding event_date as a custom field to all single posts.
How do I add event_date to the meta data so that it displays for each post in the list.
