Hi,
I am not sure about the translations provided with the Enfold theme. Is the theme admin translated in Czech or Slovak please?March 7, 2016 at 5:39 pm #594470Hey Andrej!
Thank you for contacting us!
We are depending on users to contribute translations and currently we do not have neither Czech or Slovak translation files. However, you can find language files in Enfold/lang folder and translate it using – http://poedit.net/
Let us know if you have any other questions :)
Cheers!

YigitMarch 8, 2016 at 4:13 pm #595027AndrejGuestHi, thanks for a swift reply.
Excuse, I am new to this and probably don’t understand the basics. I would appreciate your help.
I need the theme user interface to be translated as well (this is for my elderly father to be able to admin his own webpage).
Does the translation include the theme UI (theme setup, publishing and uploading galleries etc.) or is the translation made only for those elements visible on the final page?
I mean things like this:http://kriesi.at/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/enfold-theme-options.png
Thanks
AndrejMarch 8, 2016 at 4:23 pm #595030Hi!
You can translate Enfold theme options, Advanced Layout Builder elements and their descriptions and frontpage. You just need to install WordPress in your language then use this software – http://poedit.net/ :)
Cheers!
YigitMarch 8, 2016 at 4:25 pm #595033AndrejGuestThanks again,
as for the poedit app, would I need the paid version for this?

So it will be possible to translate even the item descriptions as those on the right of this screen?:
(Select which page to display…)
http://kriesi.at/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/enfold-theme-options.pngWould it be possible to download the language file before purchase to be able to see how much work that will be to translate?
Thanks

YigitMay 23, 2016 at 11:43 am #636700AndrejGuestHi, thank you for your previous help.
I still didn’t decide how to proceed with this project. Started the translation of Enfold theme but with 2,7k lines it is quite a workload.
I am thinking about a possibility to use another theme instead, for instance the Angular theme. As Angular is not multi-purpose theme, does it mean that there are less lines of text in the .po file?
My project will be a portfolio only page, so a single purpose theme would be ok for me.Thanks for your advice.
AndrejMay 23, 2016 at 11:56 am #636711Hi Andrej!
You do not need to translate each string. You can simply translate the ones that you are going to use. There are less strings in Angular theme but since Enfold is the most powerful, flexible and user friendly theme we have ever created, we would definitely recommend Enfold. As i mentioned, you can only translate portfolio related strings :)
Cheers!
YigitMay 23, 2016 at 12:09 pm #636721AndrejGuestHi, Thanks for the quick answer!
I guess there is no easy way to find out, or filter, which entries are related to portfolio?
So I would have to try to guess from the context?
AndrejMay 23, 2016 at 12:19 pm #636728Hi!
I am not sure if i understood your questions clearly. For the strings, you do not need to translate much as you can create your portfolio items using Enfold’s Advanced Layout Builder. If that is not what you asked, please elaborate :)
Best regards,
YigitMay 25, 2016 at 9:26 am #637934AndrejGuestHi,
Sorry, my fault. I am not familiar with the Advanced Layout Builder, so I don’t really understand, how would I create the portfolio.
I need to put up a portfolio page for my father, who does not understand English. So all the interface he will be using must be translated. When I would try to translate only the portfolio related strings, how would I find them using Poedit?
Thanks
AndrejMay 25, 2016 at 12:23 pm #637966Hi!
There are few elements that you can use to display your portfolio items. Let us say you would like to use Masonry element to display your portfolio items. You can simply click on it to see it’s options. You can search for those strings you see in the options and translate them.
Here is a screenshot showing how you can find strings – http://i.imgur.com/tXRSBI8.png
