    Hello
The post list page shows post date which is find for news items. But I also have event posts which display in a page in another page just for posts with the category ‘events’, but here I need to display the event date, not the post date. The event date is contained in the actual post as a custom field event_date. Is there a way to do this? The website is http://www.middlesexrugby.com
    Many thanks

    Hi lonsdale!

hm not sure what you are trying to achieve. Can you highlight using screenshots please? so we can get a clear idea of what you need. Use imgur.com or dropbox.

    Hi
It is easier to give you the URLs for the two pages in question.
There are news posts and events posts. The list of news posts displas on a standard page using the Avia layout blog posts element using the filter ‘news’ category filter. On the this page, the post date is displayed for each post. Like this… http://middlesexrugby.com/news/

Event posts also appear on a standard page, using the blog post element with the filter set to ‘events’ category.

Both pages obviously use the same post list template, so the events also show the post date: http://middlesexrugby.com/events-list/
If you look at this page, you’ll see the date 23rd February below the title of the first post on the page. This is confusing as it is the date the post was made, not the date of the event itself, which should be 28th February.

I hope this makes it clearer.
    Thanks

    Hey!

for events we recommend to use The Events Calendar instead.
