I tried deactivating the plugins and the site is still so slow. Can someone please help? Sometimes it takes 15 seconds to load.
I installed P3 plugin to view load time and the theme seems to take the longest…
Can someone please look? I have included the private info below.
February 17, 2016 at 4:35 am #584443Hi robsdesigns,
You can see a complete rundown in the link in private. There seems to be a lot of waiting for the server to respond so you might want to ask your hosting provider why that is the case.
Thanks,
RikardFebruary 17, 2016 at 4:08 pm #584800Thanks Rikard.
They have added a cache to the site, but still, I am not so happy with that. They said to me:
there are rather many files referenced during site load and there was no cache implemented.
We’ve configured ‘wp super cache’ plugin and everything seems to work much faster. At least ‘time to first byte’ has improved significantly. The host can’t seem to figure it out and I am not that great at this kind of stuff. Do you have any other ideas of where to look what would cause this to happen? Thank you.

February 18, 2016 at 9:20 pm #585704Hey guys, sorry to look at this thread again but.. I noticed that other sites I have hosted at the same place using the Enfold theme are having the same issue. Can you please maybe look at that? Or what do you think would cause that problem? It is something theme related? If you load the pages (in private content section) you can see they are slow as well. There aren’t even a handful of plugins on those other pages.
February 18, 2016 at 9:40 pm #585716Hey!
You server is slow on loading, that is where the issue is.
You probably need to move the sites to an other server, if you want better results.Best regards,
BasilisFebruary 20, 2016 at 6:00 pm #586498Hey guys here is an update:
The host moved the site to another server.
The main pages of the site move FAST. But the problem is the subpages are still so slow.
For example: When I click the subpages (ie: consulting under services, OR webinars under what’s new) it is so slow.
Can you please take a look and let me know if there is something wrong with it?
February 20, 2016 at 6:37 pm #586507Hey!
I would suggest a plugin like optimisation.io, W3C Total Cache or WPRocket.
Those plugins help you optimize images and site speed, to look good and better.Regards,
BasilisFebruary 21, 2016 at 12:27 am #586551Hi Basilis. My question is this: The actual “Pages” of the site move quickly but the portfolio sections are slow.
Why would that be? A javascript issue maybe?
February 22, 2016 at 3:57 pm #587224Hey!
We checked the products page and it loads fine please point us to the page where you have the portfolio section.
You can test the page speed on a site like http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ whcih will give you more details which files are taking long to load and optimise it.
Cheers!
Vinay KashyapFebruary 22, 2016 at 5:24 pm #587311Hi Vinnie,
If you go to http://www.maintecx.com the site loads fast. If you load a page like http://maintecx.com/products/ it also loads fast.
Then you have the portfolio pages like: http://maintecx.com/products/?portfolio=sales-2 and http://maintecx.com/portfolio-item/community/ which takes so long to load.
If I create a new page and put it in the menu or submenu it moves fast. If I click on a portfolio page in the menu it takes much longer to load.
February 23, 2016 at 2:45 pm #587730Hi!
Please check the slow loading pages on pingdom in the result it shows that the page has a image which is 1.1MB that takes a long time to load.
http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/ekodLl/http://maintecx.com/portfolio-item/community/
While inserting the image choose a smaller size image and that should fix the issue for you.
Similarly check the result for other pages and replace the images that are more than 500kb.
Best regards,
Vinay Kashyap -
